Elvis
How to Make Elvis' Favorite Sandwich!

How to make an Elvis banana/peanut butter sandwich "fit for the King."
We have gone to great lengths to obtain this recipe, we've tried it, and we can guarantee you, it's the best thing Elvis ever came up with (next to his music, of course).
Turn on the oven to bake and set it at 250. This way, the oven will be ready just as the sandwich is ready to be placed there for 2 minutes or less. Toast two pieces of bread if you want the sandwich to stick together a little better. The bread doesn't have to be toasted.
We haven't done a calorie count in this thing but we'll bet it's very full of fat and has a lot of calories. However, there are ways to cut way back on the bad cholesterol and fats. Use fat-free butter and choose a lo cal bread that you like.
Turn a burner on high and melt a big hunk o' hunk 'o burnin' butter. About 3 heaping tablespoons should work. As the butter melts, pour in lots of cinammon flavoring and sugar. About a teaspoon of cinammon flavoring and a couple of tablespoons full of sugar.
The butter and cinammon and sugar should have the consistancy of syrup. Now place two slices of bread into the mix. You want the bread to absorb as much of this syrup as you can without burning the bread. Use the bread as a sponge to wipe up all the butter and cinammon and sugar. Remove the bread and place it on the counter with the dry side facing down.
One banana will work. If you want to do it the simple way, place the entire banana in a bowl and mix well with 2-3 tablespoons of peanut butter. Now, place your banana and peanut butter concoction on the cooked side of the bread. Be generous. We are making enough for ONE sandwich.
The oven will be heated by now. Place the bread on a piece of foil and bake it for a minute or two. Once the uncooked side of the bread has a bit of brown on it, it's ready.
If you are allergic to peanuts, use the same recipe without the peanut butter. It's just as good.
This will be the best thing you've ever eaten. You will want to try it again and again until you get the mix just right for your taste. Enjoy. And "eat like a King." When you can afford to splurge a bit.
