*Dan grew up in Union listening to Dusty Rhodes, Ron Britain, Dave Reinhart and the rest of the WSAI good guys during the 60's. The music bug bit him early as his parents took his record player away from him at age 4 for playing "Doggie In The Window" and "Stars and Stripes Forever" over and over for several hours. He is a 1969 graduate of Boone County High.
*Dan worked at stations in Falmouth, Rising Sun and Covington before being saved by Randy Michaels in the late 70's when he hired Dan at 55KRC. He soon became the music director and got to work with Jack Stahl, Ted McAllister and Dusty Rhodes for the first time. In 1983 Dan moved with Randy Michaels to 700 WLW as assistant Program Director and relaunched Dial-A-Hit on Saturday Nights. Dan then went to work in the Radio software industry but it wasn't long before Dial-A-Hit returned with Dan as host on WGRR.
*In 1998 Dan moved to Las Vegas for two years and was Operations Manager at Clear Channel's Oldies KQOL (Kool 93.1). He loved the city but his family didn't so Dan returned to Cincinnati and took a job at the Clear Channel Corporate offices.
*In 2002 Dan created the "Real Oldies" format and was named Program Director at Real Oldies 1530 WSAI. He returned to the air with his old pals, Dusty Rhodes, Jack Stahl, Ted McAllister and Craig Roberts as they created some of the best oldies radio in Tri-State history.
*After WSAI changed format in early 2005 Dan remained at Clear Channel and is now the Operations Manager at The Clear Channel Format Labs, programming Real Oldies and several other formats for HD Radio, Internet and Cell Phone systems. Dan would like to thank Clear Channel management for allowing Dan to return to the Tri-State airways for his "Really Big Show" every Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
*Dan is divorced and the father of four. He has one grandchild and another on the way.
